I've honestly lost count of how often I've had to raise this same criticism
about the music at these events but its the same problem over and over again.
Where is the industrial or sook rock, which would perfectly reflect the spooky
theme?!
At the end of the day, these same problems will continue because the is no
actual interest in providing a good experience for guests. It's all about
numbers and that's it. Which brings me neatly to what really made it such a
miserable night out for me...
With each and every one of these events it becomes more and more about
squeezing as many bodies in as possible. I literally spent 30 mins trying to
get in before I eventually had enough and gave up. I only managed to get in
when I returned for the last hour, by which time the crowd had thinned from
just shy of 600 people to around 200.
Honestly, I feel like I should give up on these parties because there is zero
real care but into them. They have become little more than an ego-stroking
exercise, which is a bitter shame. I just feel like I should keep attending
them for the sake of being able to write these reviews of them. But if I'm
made to feel excluded because they are so over-crowded that I can't even get
in, why the fuck should I continue to bother.
Wish I hadn't spent so much time actually trying to come up with a costume,
even if I did just end up digging out one that I put together for National
Anime Day a few years ago...
