A Cheeky Peek at What’s Supporting My Girls!

We need to talk about bras. It's National Bra Day, and what better excuse could there be to have a good rummage through my underwear drawer? From delicate lace and plunging necklines to something a little more practical, I'm giving you a peek at my collection of boob-hugging favourites!

We spend a small fortune on them, complain about them, occasionally fall in love with them and, quite often, can't wait to get the bloody things off!

Some are everyday essentials, others are reserved for special occasions, and a few are so utterly impractical that I'm convinced their designers have never actually encountered a pair of boobs in the wild.

But, love them or loathe them, most of us have a little collection tucked away somewhere. And since today is National Bra Day, I thought I'd throw open my underwear drawer and give you a guided tour of mine.

Naturally, I've dressed for the occasion. Or perhaps undressed would be more accurate!

The Lace Triangle Bralette

Starting with something pretty, feminine and just a little bit cheeky!

I've always had a soft spot for lace triangle bralettes, with their delicate floral patterns, scalloped edges, thin shoulder straps and tiny decorative bows.

The triangular cup shape provides a flattering V-shaped neckline, while the sheer lace offers a softer, more romantic appearance than the smooth fabric of an everyday T-shirt bra. And, of course, there's that delicious little tease of the nipples being just about visible through the lace without being completely exposed.

These are all about gentle shaping and looking pretty. And I do love them!

There's something about delicate lace and tiny bows that makes even the simplest bra feel a little special. Although I do sometimes wonder about those little bows. They're completely unnecessary, serve absolutely no practical purpose and probably add a few pennies to the manufacturing cost.

Naturally, I wouldn't dream of buying one without them!

The Strappy Cage Bralette

Now we're getting into the more decorative end of the underwear drawer!

This one combines soft lace cups with additional decorative straps that frame the cleavage, creating an intricate, almost harness-inspired effect across the bust.

Of course, the extra straps are primarily there for appearance rather than support, although the wide underbust band does provide some gentle structure without relying on substantial padding or rigid cups.

And then there's the sheer floral lace, which provides just enough coverage to preserve a little modesty while offering tantalising glimpses of the skin beneath. It's a lovely combination of delicate femininity and something just a little more daring.

These are the sort of bras that are designed to be seen, perhaps peeking out beneath a low-cut top or worn as part of a more adventurous outfit. And that's where the fun begins!

Because while those additional straps look absolutely gorgeous, they also introduce an entirely new level of complexity to getting dressed.

By the time you've worked out which bit goes where, you may well have forgotten why you were getting dressed in the first place!

Still, sometimes looking fabulous is worth a little effort.

The Lace-Trimmed Demi-Cup Bra

Now here's a style that knows how to make the most of what nature provided!

Offering less coverage than traditional full-cup designs, it covers maybe three-quarters of the breast while providing a flattering lift from below.

I particularly like the lace-trimmed varieties, which combine shaped cups with delicate detailing along the upper edges. The relatively low neckline leaves more of the upper bust exposed, creating a rounded, flattering silhouette without necessarily relying on heavy push-up padding.

Unlike a full-cup bra, which prioritises coverage and support, this one is designed to strike a balance between shaping my bust and showing a little cleavage. And that's precisely why I like them!

There's something wonderfully reassuring about a bra that appears to understand its responsibilities. Lift the girls, keep them in position and make everything look fabulous.

If only all relationships came with such clearly defined expectations!

The Lightly Padded Plunge Bra

Some bras are designed to disappear discreetly beneath your clothes. Others are rather more interested in making the most of what's underneath!

This one falls into the latter category by combining a deep V-shaped neckline with a little extra shaping and support from the padding inside the cups. Add some delicate lace edging and halter-style straps, and you've got something that's as pretty as it is flattering.

Unlike heavily padded push-up bras, which can dramatically enhance the appearance of the bust, the light padding in this one adds offers a more subtle effect. It creates a smooth, rounded shape while providing a little extra lift without making it look as though I've suddenly gone up two cup sizes overnight.

The low centre front makes plunge bras particularly useful beneath low-cut tops and dresses, allowing the neckline to dip without revealing the bra itself.

Of course, the plunging cut also makes them rather good at showing off a little cleavage. They're feminine, flattering and just a little bit daring. Perfect for those outfits where a conventional bra would insist on making an unwelcome appearance above the neckline.

Although, if I'm wearing something with a neckline that low, I'm not entirely convinced keeping the girls hidden was ever part of the plan!

The Deep Plunge Triangle Bra

Sometimes you don't need fancy lace, complicated straps or enough padding to double as a flotation device. A nice Satin deep plunge bra can take the simplicity of a traditional triangle bra and combine it with a dramatically lowered neckline, creating a particularly revealing V-shaped opening between the cups.

The smooth, silky satin gives this one a lovely luxurious feel, with a subtle sheen that catches the light beautifully. It's a refreshing alternative to lace, offering a sleek, elegant appearance that's every bit as feminine without needing elaborate decorations.

The soft cups and thin shoulder straps give it a lightweight, minimalist feel, while the underbust band provides gentle support without the bulk of a more heavily structured bra. It relies more on its cut and the natural shape of my bust rather than additional padding. And because the cups are cut so low towards the centre, they can be particularly flattering beneath tops and dresses with very deep necklines.

Personally, I rather like the simplicity. There's something wonderfully indulgent about slipping into silky satin, even when the bra itself is about as uncomplicated as they come.

No lace, no frills, no engineering degree required to work out how to put one on. Just a couple of silky triangles doing their very best to keep everything where it belongs. Admittedly, with a plunge this deep, they're not giving themselves much material to work with.

The Strapless Plunge Bra

Sometimes you want a bra that provides a little structure and shaping without having shoulder straps getting in the way. That's where this little puppy comes in!

Unlike a more simple bandeau, this bra's shaped cups and a supportive underbust band provide me with definition and lift. The cups help maintain a rounded silhouette, while the plunging centre allows for a more revealing neckline than you'd typically find on many other styles of strapless bra.

They're my go to for beneath strapless dresses, off-the-shoulder tops and other outfits where visible bra straps would spoil the look.

Of course, removing the shoulder straps means the band and cup construction have to do all the work, which makes getting the fit right especially important. And there's always that lingering question in the back of your mind.

Is everything still where I left it?

Because nothing quite ruins an elegant evening like having to discreetly hoist your boobs back into position every time you stand up.

Still, when a strapless bra fits properly, it's a wonderful thing. All the shaping, none of the straps, and hopefully no unexpected escape attempts!

The Longline Bustier

Now for something with a touch of old-fashioned glamour!

I have a definite soft spot for longline bustiers. The shaped cups and decorative seam lines often give them a distinctly corset-inspired appearance, although without the rigid boning or waist-cinching construction of a traditional corset.

I particularly like the lace varieties, with their delicate patterns, scalloped necklines and fitted shapes. that can create a smoother, more structured silhouette while also having the bonus of distributing support over a larger area

Of course, as already mentioned, strapless lingerie always comes with one very important question.

Will it actually stay up?

Because nothing ruins a sophisticated evening quite like having to perform the discreet grab, wiggle and hoist manoeuvre every twenty minutes.

Still, when they work, a pretty longline bustier can look absolutely fabulous.

The Sports-Style Bra

Every underwear drawer needs something practical, and this is probably the closest mine gets!

Sports bras are all about comfort, featuring simple scoop necklines, stretchy fabric and broad bands beneath the bust.

No underwiring here. Just a reliance on gentle compression and the elasticity of the fabric to hold everything in place. With no complicated fastenings, push-up padding or elaborate lacework, they're a much more relaxed alternative to structured lingerie.

Of course, not every sports-style bra are suitable for serious exercise. This lightweight crop bra is much better suited to low-impact activities or everyday lounging than vigorous workouts.

A gentle yoga session? Probably fine.

A five-mile run? I suspect the girls might have a few complaints!

Still, they're exactly the sort of thing I reach for when comfort is the priority, particularly when I'm lounging around at home.

And after a day spent wearing something with underwiring, straps and enough lace to decorate a wedding cake, slipping into something simple can feel absolutely heavenly.

The Plunging Teddy

OK, so we're moving beyond ordinary bras now. And this lace teddy certainly isn't interested in keeping a low profile!

The cups are soft and relatively unstructured, with delicate lace really just providing coverage rather than the lift you'd get from anything that us underwired. This baby is all about about the cut, the shape and a rather generous amount of exposed skin instead.

The dramatic V-shaped opening draws attention to the cleavage, while lace panels extending down the torso can create a sophisticated, corset-inspired appearance.

Definitely something I enjoy wearing when I'm feeling confident and want my underwear to make a statement. For very special occasions only really, when someone else is deserving of a special treat.

Considering how much it reveals even given its wide area of coverage, its all about making a statement. and that statement is hello, boys!

Let's be honest; I've I've chosen to put this on, it really is only with the intent of letting someone else take it off

The Bodysuit

And finally, something that isn't technically a bra at all, but certainly deserves a place in the collection!

I like how this bodysuit combines delicate lace with a daringly deep plunge neckline, soft triangle-style cups and a high-cut bottom. The narrow straps and lace-trimmed edges give it a wonderfully feminine appearance, while the fitted design follows the natural curves of my body without relying on padding or structured cups.

What I particularly love is the contrast between the lace and the amount of skin it reveals. The sheer fabric offers just enough coverage to leave a little to the imagination, while the plunging front makes absolutely no attempt to disguise the cleavage. It's a rather lovely combination of romantic and downright cheeky!

And unlike some of my more elaborate lingerie, there's no complicated collection of straps, hooks or fastenings to contend with. Just a simple, figure-hugging design that lets the lace do most of the talking.

Of course, calling it underwear does raise an interesting question. When something looks this pretty, covering it up with clothes almost seems a terrible waste! It's certainly not the sort of thing I'd choose for a quick trip to the shops, although I suppose that depends on how adventurous I'm feeling

Still, as a final entry in my little underwear parade, I think it makes a rather fitting finale. After all, why finish with an ordinary bra when you can go for the full package?

So, What's Your Favourite?

And there we have it. Ten different looks, one slightly overworked underwear drawer and a whole lot of pink!

From practical everyday favourites to pretty little things that probably spend more time being admired than actually worn, bras come in all sorts of shapes, sizes and styles. Some lift, some shape, some simply cover, and others appear to exist purely because somebody thought they'd look fabulous.

Of course, National Bra Day also falls during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so there's a more meaningful reason to give our bras a little attention.

For women who have undergone breast surgery, including mastectomies, finding comfortable underwear can be a very different experience. Some choose specialist bras or prostheses, others prefer going without, and some embrace entirely different ways of dressing. There isn't one right answer, and nobody should feel obliged to wear a bra, have breasts or look a particular way to feel feminine.

So while I'm having a bit of fun showing off my collection today, it's worth remembering that something as ordinary as choosing a bra isn't always quite so ordinary for everybody.

But that's enough of the serious stuff for now!

Which of my ten looks gets your vote? Are you a lover of delicate lace, a fan of something simple and comfortable, or perhaps a member of the free the titties camp?

Six Years of Thinking Pink

Spreading the word of Breast Cancer Awareness every month is something that I'm sure you have noticed that I'm passionate about.

The Hidden Circle Gazette asked me to reflect on how I've approached 6 years of pumping out content and blog pieces themed around Pink October and how my approach has changed and evolved over that period.

You favourite ass?

My fat arse would like to wish you all a happy National Ass Day!

While some may try to justify the posting of some naughty or even NSFW pics of their rear ends by dressing it up as promoting body positivity or a study in the evolution of the female figure, I will do no such thing.

For once, when I'm promoting a day, its not because there is some deeper meaning behind it all. Instead, I'll just call a spade, a spade and openly admit that this is just a fun opportunity to tease you all with some naughty snaps of my arse.

So tell me, which ass do you prefer - in skin tight shorts, nothing but thong bikini bottoms or completely bare?

Standing Up for Men’s Health

October is a pretty big month for the ladies, with Breast Cancer Awareness Month turning everything pink and No Bra Day giving the girls an excuse to let their assets breathe. And quite right, too! Breast cancer awareness is important, and anything that encourages women to check their boobs and look after themselves gets a big thumbs-up from me.

But while we're busy showing the ladies some love, perhaps it's time we gave the boys a little attention as well. After all, while some women might be taking their bras off to raise awareness, there's another important cause that could do with a little support.

Yep, it's National Erection Day! And before the fellas get too excited, no, this isn't an invitation to start sending unsolicited pictures. Behave yourselves!

It's not all fun and games

Erections might be a favourite subject for playground humour and cheeky innuendo, but erectile dysfunction is a genuine issue for plenty of men. Stress, anxiety, lifestyle factors and underlying health conditions can all play a part, and persistent problems can sometimes be an early warning sign that something else isn't quite right.

Unfortunately, talking about these things doesn't always come naturally to men. There's still a lot of pressure to be strong, stay silent and pretend everything is working perfectly, even when it isn't.

But there's no shame in having a problem, and certainly no medals for suffering in silence. If things aren't working as they should, having a chat with a doctor is a far better idea than crossing your fingers and hoping the situation sorts itself out.

Boys have bits worth checking, too

Of course, men's health isn't just about whether things are standing to attention when they're supposed to. Testicular and prostate cancer, heart health and mental wellbeing all deserve a place in the conversation.

Checking yourself, paying attention to changes and getting medical advice when something doesn't feel right are all part of looking after yourself. And that includes mental health, because blokes can struggle emotionally just as much as anyone else, even if they're not always brilliant at admitting it.

Besides, a man's worth isn't measured by what's in his pants or whether he can rise to every occasion. There's a whole person attached to that equipment, and the whole package deserves a bit of TLC.

Supporting the boys as well as the girls

Now, this isn't about turning men's health into a competition or suggesting that women get too much attention. Breast Cancer Awareness Month matters, and so does No Bra Day's role in encouraging breast awareness. We can absolutely support those causes while remembering that the fellas have health concerns of their own.

So, this National Erection Day, have a giggle, share a cheeky joke and feel free to give your mates a little stick. Just remember there's a serious message underneath the sniggering.

Check in on the men in your life. Encourage them to get things checked out if something's bothering them, and remind them that talking about their health isn't embarrassing. It's sensible.

And if October gives us a month to think about boobs, bras and breast health, surely we can spare a little thought for balls, boners and the blokes attached to them too!

So here's to looking after the ladies, supporting the lads and keeping everyone in good working order. Because whether you're wearing a bra, going braless or hoping your old chap still has a little spring in his step, taking care of yourself never goes out of fashion.

And with that, it's time to give the fellas a little visual support of their own! In the spirit of No Bra Day, I've prepared a few sexy pics that feature absolutely no bras whatsoever. Nothing too cheeky, of course… just a little something to get the pulse racing and remind the boys that sometimes, the best support is the kind you don't have to wear. Ladies, you know what to do.

Nut up the nose

Guys, a word to the wise...

If you are going to try to pretend that you are covering your eyes while looking up my skirt; a) do a better job of trying to make it look like you are actually covering your eyes and not constantly sneaking peaks at my knickerless crotch, and b) don't give yourself away by getting a massive bulge in your pants when you get too excited from perving on my bare little pussy.

In this case, I let it slide because Ace does get certain benefits and freedoms from being legally wed to me. But I was far too tired to help him resolve that hard-on problem in his pants. Plus I was far more interested in having a quick skinny dip in the pool.

He was still packing that bulge by the time that I was done with my naked swim and was lazily lounging in the sun to dry off from my dip. I suppose it's not surprising that the sight of his trophy wife swimming naked would continue to keep him excited and hard.

(That's what happens when you go to a house party unprepared for some pool action so have neither a swim suit to wear nor towel to dry off with).

I still didn't have the energy to sort him out but I'm not cruel enough to blue ball him, so I let him jerk himself over and then nut on me while I let the sun's rays dry me off.

However, I was less than impressed when his first cumshot fired straight up my nose. I fucking hate getting cum up my nose!

I didn't force him to stop after that but no more cumming on my face was allowing. Instead, he had to make do with nutting on my tits and tummy instead. Hopefully I didn't look too bored whilst I patiently waited for him to cum enough times to drain his balls dry.

But, by the time he was spent, I was nicely dry, if not now a bit sticky. Which meant another quick dip in the pool to rinse off and back to being wet again...

Caffeine Massage

On top of today kicking off Pink October, the day also gets two noteworthy celebrations all to itself.

First and foremost, it's International Coffee Day, which is s big one for me. As an avid coffee drinker (I need at least 3 big mugs a day to function to my full potential), I very much enjoy talking and advocating for a good cup of java. Indeed, last year I enjoyed doing some research into the potential future of the coffee industry.

But then there's the other celebration - World Massage Day. While coffee gets the spotlight with hashtags and café promotions, a good massage can have just as much impact on our wellbeing, even if massage therapy is often relegated to the "treat yourself" category, something reserved for vacations or special occasions.

But the reality is that massage offers tangible health benefits that go far beyond relaxation. From reducing muscle tension and improving circulation to lowering stress hormones and promoting better sleep, regular massage is a form of preventive healthcare that our increasingly sedentary, screen-filled lives desperately need .

Now, here's where the two celebrations intersect in an interesting way. Coffee isn't just for drinking - it's increasingly used in massage and body treatments for its unique properties. Caffeine, when applied topically, can stimulate blood flow, temporarily tighten skin, and even help reduce the appearance of cellulite . Coffee-infused scrubs and oils have become staples in spas worldwide, offering an energizing alternative to traditional relaxation-focused treatments .

For me, the aroma alone would be worth it. There's something deeply comforting about the scent of freshly ground coffee mingling with massage oil, creating a sensory experience that awakens the mind while relaxing the body.

That's why I took a little bit of time out this morning to combine the two for a quick relax before cracking on with the rest of my day having been setup in the best way possible.

Think Pink Without the Lecture

Well, here we go again.

It's October, which means the internet is about to turn pink. Pink ribbons, pink logos, pink T-shirts, pink cakes and enough pink social media posts to make you wonder whether the colour has somehow been elected mayor.

Yep. It's Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

And if you've been around for a while, you'll know what usually comes next...

Check your boobs. Know the signs. Go for your screening. Know your family history. Look after yourself.

Blah, blah, blah.

And here's the thing. We know.

We've heard the message so many times that it's very easy for it to become background noise. The same thing happens with almost every piece of health advice. Eat better. Exercise more. Drink less. Sleep more. Drink more water. Reduce stress. Get enough fibre. Wear sunscreen.

I'm exhausted just writing that list. I've been doing it here for a decade now and sometimes it feels like it achieves nothing.

So this year, rather than another lecture, let's just have a conversation.

Can we talk about boobs without making it weird?

Breasts are everywhere. They're sexualised, photographed, advertised and joked about constantly. Yet somehow, saying "I've noticed something unusual with my breast" can still make people feel awkward.

It shouldn't.

You don't need to become obsessed with checking yourself, and you certainly don't need to spend your evenings conducting a forensic investigation in front of the bathroom mirror.

You just need to have some idea of what's normal for you. Because bodies aren't diagrams. Breasts come in different shapes and sizes and can change throughout your life. Hormones, age, pregnancy and plenty of other things can affect them.

The useful question isn't "Do mine look like the picture? "

It's "Do mine normally look and feel like this? "

And no, you don't have to diagnose yourself

One of the worst things about having the internet in your pocket is that every unusual symptom is approximately three searches away from convincing you that you've developed a rare condition last seen in a fishing village in the deepest, darkest corner of the rain forest.

If you notice a change, you don't need to work out what it is. Your job isn't to diagnose cancer. Your job is simply to notice something that isn't normal for you and get advice if you're concerned.

A change doesn't automatically mean cancer. There are plenty of things that can cause changes in the breasts that aren't cancerous. But "it's probably nothing " isn't a diagnosis either.

Sometimes it is nothing. Sometimes it isn't. You don't know until you find out. And you don't need to be certain something is wrong before asking for help. "This is different for me and I'm not sure whether I should be worried " is enough. You're not wasting anyone's time by asking a question about your own body.

The statistics are important. But they're still just numbers.

Every year we're given statistics about how many people are diagnosed with breast cancer, how many survive and how the numbers are changing.

Those figures matter. But behind every number is a person. Someone with a family, a partner, friends, a job, pets, plans and somebody waiting for them to come home.

Breast cancer doesn't just affect the person who receives the diagnosis either. It affects the people around them, from partners and families to friends and colleagues.

That's why awareness matters. Not because we need another frightening statistic thrown at us, but because those statistics represent actual human lives.

Risk isn't destiny

There are things that can influence someone's risk of developing breast cancer, including age, family history, genetics, alcohol, physical activity and body weight. Making healthier choices can reduce the risk of some cancers, but nothing provides a guarantee.

You can do everything "right" and still get cancer. Getting cancer isn't a punishment for not eating enough kale, which is a good job for me because I fucking hate kale.

And eating a salad doesn't give you a magical forcefield. Health is complicated. That's why the goal shouldn't be perfection. Small, realistic changes are still worthwhile.

You don't have to become a wellness influencer just because it's October.

Screening isn't a pass or fail

It's surprisingly easy to put screening off. You're busy. You forget. You don't feel ill. You tell yourself you'll sort it next week. Then next week becomes next month.

Screening is designed to look for changes that may not have caused symptoms yet. It isn't perfect and it can't guarantee that cancer won't develop, but it's an important part of detecting breast cancer earlier. And being called back for further tests doesn't automatically mean you have cancer either.

So if you're eligible for screening, know when you're due and don't simply ignore the invitation because you feel fine. And remember, screening isn't a replacement for paying attention to changes in your own body.

Maybe we don't need more pink

Maybe we don't actually need more pink. Or at least, we don't need only more pink.

There's nothing wrong with pink ribbons, fundraising campaigns or companies temporarily discovering that pink has always been their favourite colour. But what happens after we see it?

Does it remind someone to book an appointment? Encourage somebody to learn more? Start a conversation? Make someone supporting a loved one feel a little less alone?

That's where awareness becomes useful. The pink ribbon is the signpost. It isn't the destination.

So, no lecture. Just a nudge.

I'm not going to finish this by shouting, "GO CHECK YOUR BOOBS RIGHT NOW!"

You already know you're supposed to. Instead, just ask yourself a few simple questions.

Do I know what's normal for me?

Do I know when I'm due for screening?

Do I know my family history?

Have I noticed a change I've been ignoring?

Have I been putting off an appointment because I'm worried I'll be wasting someone's time?

You don't need to panic. You don't need to Google yourself into oblivion. You don't need to assume the worst.

Just ask. Check. Book. Find out.

If everything is fine, brilliant. If something needs investigating, you've started the process of finding out what it is. Either way, you've replaced uncertainty with information.

And perhaps that's what Pink October should really be about.

Not more lectures. Not more fear. Not another wall of statistics that everyone scrolls past.

Just a reminder to pay a little attention to ourselves, have the conversations we're sometimes reluctant to have, and look after the people around us.

The internet can turn pink for a month. That's fine. But if that little pink ribbon makes somebody stop and think, "When was the last time I actually paid attention to me? ", then it's done its job.

Happy Pink October. Now go eat something that isn't pink. Unless it's a doughnut. In which case, carry on!

Biggest Bottom

Suffice to say, that poll did not go to plan...

For the record, I was the left bum. And 100% of voters picked mine as the biggest.

I officially have a fat arse!

Although I still maintain that Emmy's bum is just as big. I just have wider hips. It's an optical illusion, I tell you!

Big Bottoms

Emmy keeps claiming that I have a big (but lovely) bum. I freely admit it has some sexy curvature to it but I would definitely wouldn't call it "big". If anything, I would argue that it is my wide hips that accentuate my peach arse rather than my arse itself being big.

Also, Emmy's ass is just as big, if not bigger! So I've put a poll up on Twitter where my followers can vote on which butt they think is bigger. 44hrs left to cast your vote so what are you waiting for? Go and have your say.

Vote now!

Why Butt Plugs Are Having a Moment

t seems like, in recent years, butt plugs have graduated from the back shelves of specialty shops to mainstream pop culture. You see them with jewelled bases on social media, hear them referenced in comedy specials, and find them in the “recommended for you” section of certain online retailers dedicated to adult products.

But why? What is it about this particular toy that has captured such widespread curiosity and enthusiasm

The answer isn’t just cultural. It’s anatomical. It’s neurological. It’s deeply, fundamentally physiological. Let's explore all of those as part of this year's National Butt Plug Day.

The Anatomy of Anal Pleasure

The anus and rectum are densely packed with nerve endings. Far more than many people realise. The external sphincter, in particular, is rich with sensory receptors that respond to pressure, stretch, and movement . This isn’t a design flaw. It’s a feature.

For people with prostates, the story gets even more interesting. The prostate (often called the P-spot) sits roughly five to seven centimetres inside the anterior (front) wall of the rectum . It’s a walnut-sized gland that, when stimulated, can produce sensations distinct from penile orgasms. Some describe them as deeper, more full-body, and capable of repeating without the refractory period that typically follows ejaculation .

For people with vulvas, the calculus is different but no less compelling. The internal clitoral network extends deep into the pelvic region, and the wall between the rectum and vagina is thin. A butt plug can create pressure that radiates through to the G-spot area and the A-spot (anterior fornix), producing sensations that feel like they come from everywhere at once .

Why Pressure Feels Good

There’s a reason the phrase “feeling of fullness” appears in nearly every description of butt plug use. The rectum is not a passive tube. It’s lined with stretch receptors that, when activated, send signals to the brain that can be interpreted as intensely pleasurable, provided the context is right.

This is where the psychology meets the physiology. The same sensation of pressure can read as discomfort or as arousal depending entirely on mental state, relaxation, and expectation . Butt plugs work because they allow the wearer to control that equation. You set the pace. You choose the size. You decide when to insert and when to remove. That sense of agency transforms what could be an overwhelming sensation into something manageable and erotic.

The Warm-Up Effect

Beyond pure pleasure, butt plugs serve a practical function; they help relax the internal sphincter which, unlike the external sphincter, you cannot consciously control. The internal sphincter responds only to gentle, sustained pressure. It relaxes when it’s ready, not when you tell it to.

This is why butt plugs are often recommended as a warm-up for anal sex. Wearing one allows the muscles to gradually acclimate to penetration. The plug’s tapered shape means insertion starts small and widens progressively, giving the sphincters time to adjust without the urgency of a partner’s movements

 .

Why The Cultural Shift?

Butt plugs aren’t new. Their ancestors - rectal dilators - were patented in the late 19th century and sold as medical devices. What’s changed is the conversation.

Anal play has shed much of its historical stigma. Research on heterosexual women’s attitudes, for instance, shows that curiosity and a desire for variety are common motivations, and that anal sex is increasingly viewed as part of a normal sexual repertoire rather than an exotic exception.

The rise of body-safe materials like medical-grade silicone, the proliferation of size-inclusive options, and the destigmatizing work of sex educators have all contributed to making butt plugs feel accessible rather than intimidating.

The Bottom Line

Butt plugs are popular because they work with your body, not against it. They exploit a dense network of nerve endings, a strategically placed prostate, and a pelvic architecture that rewards patience and pressure. They offer a low-stakes entry point into anal play and a high-reward enhancement for those already comfortable there.

Whether you’re curious, experienced, or just reading this out of pure fascination, the physiology doesn’t lie. The anus is an erogenous zone. Butt plugs are simply one very effective way to explore it.

The Big Question

So, now that you are equipped with a better understanding of butt plugs, I have one very important question for all of you...

If you had the opportunity to plug just one of these sexy bums, which one would you choose? Feel free to leave your answer in the comments below.

Birthday suits for Emmy

Liberated by my confessions of a few days ago, it feels so wonderful to be able to wish my beautiful girlfriend the happiest of birthdays!

No more hiding behind misleading labels. No more having to bite my tongue. Just the opportunity to openly celebrate that my lover has experienced one more trip around sun.

And, what better way to celebrate, than by joining her in wearing our birthday suits for some tender kisses and cuddles.

Happy Birthday, Emmy! I love you so much!
