10 years and still going strong

10 years of this crazy, perverted community! Can you believe it?!

Seems like only yesterday that I first dropped by but, by my reckoning, it has actually been 7 years and 9 months or thereabouts. How time flies! And to think that I have been here for a little over three quarters of its entire existence. That's just bonkers for me to think about. 

As Jess put it on one of the podcast episodes, I'm ancient. Although not quite as ancient as some of the peeps that are still floating around. AceX is one that springs to mind. He's positively pre-historic having been he almost from the start.

Anyway, all of that is a very long way to say that, having been here that long, there was absolutely no chance in hell that I was going to miss the 10th anniversary celebrations, even if they were only announced with like 2 days notice! Luckily, my calendar was clear for all of last night so I was able to spend a good few hours there. (As it wasn't a complete surprise to me, given that I did a whole podcast episode themed around us approaching the big one zero birthday).

So what was this 10th anniversary extravaganza? Well, I must admit, it was a little more understated than I was expecting. I mean, it was low key compared to the first few Lovense parties. Not in terms of attendance; no, I'm pretty sure it blew all of those out of the water. But in terms of the spectacle they put on.

Don't get me wrong, it was a gorgeous sea-front setting down on the beach and it was all very pretty. But there wasn't the stunning views of previous parties. Not the same level of opulence. Those parties were all a little bit extra in going all out. 

This one was a bit more restrained. Not the no expenses affairs like the others. More like, done on a size-able but still somewhat restrained budget. I suppose, such are the times that we have to all exercise a bit of care with our finances, especially during the notoriously expensive holiday season.

So what was there to get up to at this particular party? Well lots of dancing for starters. 

I'm not exactly sure how long the party was scheduled to last for but I get the impression it was a marathon effort with DJs regularly passing the baton to another DJ to keep the tunes pumping. No doubt the organisers would want to give everyone a chance to fly in from all around the globe. It's no often that a big anniversary like this comes around so it wasn't to be missed.

That said, even with the humongous crowd there, there weren't too many my my acquaintances there, so I spent much of the evening dancing alone. Although, that did also give me a good opportunity to have a nice little wonder round. 

I mean, after some particularly exuberant dancing that had gotten me a little hot and sweaty, it was jolly refreshing to be able to wade into the cool sea water to have a little paddle. Knowing that this would be a beach party, I obviously wore a bikini as underwear so I could splash around to my heart's content. Always prepared, me.

And what better way to dry off from a frolic in the seas than by laying down to a roaring beachfront fire. Add that to the list of what I got up to.

What else was there? Hmm, I posed by the... well, I don't know what to call it really, the board with all the logos on that normally stands behind the red carpet for guests to pose in front of. Whatever its called, it was back after skipping the last Lovense party. Just a shame I had to pose alone as there were no friends there to join me in striking a pose.

I did manage to chat to a few people though. After my swim, I made myself comfy and the sort of tiki-bar type area and had a catch up with ColeJaxson. Shout out to him for giving me some much needed inspiration for my next adventure into the world of memes. You can look for ward to that coming up in the next few weeks.

I may also have stayed a bit later than anticipated. Sometimes I just lose track of the time then, before I know it, its like an hour after my bedtime and I'm still partying hard.

So I'm a bit tired now. Well... very tired... And I think that is just about all that my brain can recall from last night at the moment. So that's all I've got to report right now.

I'm sure that after some rest and a good night's sleep, I'll be feeling rejuvenated and ready to share more  stories from the night. But this is all I've got for now...
