Halloween's Gate

And so we arrive at Halloween season once again and all the fun and games that that entails. Namely, liberally spreading scary decorations everywhere and dressing up in spooky costumes.

Both of these were fully evident at a very special Virtual Sugar party tonight, although I think the spooky aspect of costumes is somewhat optional as evidenced by the pair of  Ronald MacDonalds that I spied snuggling on the edge of the dance floor.

You might also spot The Mask, Jessica Rabbit, Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn, none of whom can really be considered spooky. Beetlejuice, I think we can say "yes" to notionally being a creepy character, and therefore spooky-ish. There were also plenty of generic succubus', zombie girls, witches and the like.

You will have to forgive me though, for I am not one to engage in dressing up (save my lame anime cosplay attempts that I forced myself to do), so I was propping up the stage in my regular every day clothes feeling rather out of place.

Eventually, I did make the meagrest of efforts and donned some cute devil horns. Pink, of course, since it is still Pink October. Plus, they had to match the rest of my outfit.

As for the scary decoration, naturally that involved lots of spider-webs, ghostly apparitions, coffins and all the other Halloween-type accoutrements that you would expect. All around the central theme of the party's theme; a giant Halloween gate.
