Bare Bunnies November Fashion Show

I feel like I've been here before bemoaning the lack of advertising of a fashion event. It was only hours before the show kicked off that I even became of it thanks to a couple of the participating designers posting adverts on Twitter.

Regardless of the short notice, not only did I manage to get there with plenty of time to spare before the models hit the catwalk but I even managed to pick up a program of the running order so, not only can I, for once, tell you who all the designers were, but I can also tell you what the themes for each of their collections was.

However, for all that preparedness, I somehow still managed to miss the first few models. I was just too pre-occupied taking selfies with Reena, who had joined me for the first half of the show, until she would have to dash off to get changed for her own appearance on the catwalk.

So, first up was BenM with his Sports Collection, as modelled by Mallice, Levii, LarkeFrost and ThomNorth. As I already confessed, I missed the first few outfits but I was a big fan of those that I did see. In particular, the dark blue with gold and white trim outfit that Mallice was showing off. I've always felt that dark blue and gold make a wonderful combination so that one ticked all the boxes for me.

Reena also commented to me on how much she liked that one as well, which is reassuring for me because she is my style icon. And, if I like what she likes, then its shows my taste isn't too out of kilter with current trends, not that I'm really bothered too much about such things.

With the first collection done, we then got the first intermission of the evening courtesy of quick performance by the Bare Bunnies. Something that would be repeated between each collection and provide a welcome gap in proceedings to run to grab a quick drink from the bar.

Next up was my good friend, FeliciaBlack with the latest collection from her Black Cat Couture label as she continues to expand from just delivering a classy selection of footwear into offering a broader selection of attire.

Of course, I am no stranger to strutting around in Black Cats but I'm yet to wear any of her clothes. Funnily enough, it's unusual for me to go to one of these events without picking out a pair of Black Cats to put on but I'm still waiting for her to add some suitable knee high boots for me to twin with formal outfits like the one I had chosen to wear.

But I'm digressing... For this show, Felicia brought a Fall/Winter collection with a mind for being a little bit fun. All of which was modelled by Neena Serenity, Elenyi and Nelio to the soundtrack of Felicia's band, Smart Blondes (yes, they have renamed from Nine Inch Heels; a name that I have previously had a little moan about).

Whilst the outfit modelled by Elenyi was definitely the one that impressed me most from this collection, I feel like Neena's outfit was very much in the style of what I often wear from day to day. In fact, when she appeared for a second time to show off the lingerie that she was wearing underneath her top layers, it was very reminiscent of some that you'll very likely have seen me wearing in pictures that I have posted in the past.

Again, very reassuring that another lady who has her finger very much on the pulse of what is fashionable and stylish has designed something that would feel very at home in my own personal collection. Perhaps that bra and panties set will be the first Black Cats Couture clothes that I pick up for myself.

After another quick Bare Bunnies intermission, we were then treated to CattDavidson's Fall Plaids and Leathers collection, which she described as being perfect for a playful night out on the town. Modelling for her were BikiniKim, OliverCream, DaysieWilde and Elle.

And no, before you ask, Oli wasn't wearing his signature pink boxers. Instead, we got to see him in some stylish black ones instead.

I'm going to say that Catt's trousers suit was my favourite from this collection. Maybe a surprising choice from me there, considering it is only a few days since I was talking about how trousers are not something you will often see me wearing. So, although its not an outfit that I would pull on myself, I do still think it was pretty damn stylish. And the jacket had a very similar feel to the one that I was actually wearing, so that part of the outfit was certainly right up my street.

Some of the lingerie that her models were wearing underneath was also very eye catching. Definitely living up to the tag of being playful.

Last but very much not least, was Harlyn with her Louis Vuitton Infusion Catwalk of the Stylyn Fashion House collection. Quite a mouthful but so I hope I got that right...

And its only now that I realise that my previous brag about being better prepared to report on this fashion show was not quite as well-founded as I had thought because I was so busy cheering for Reena (yes, her again...) that I forgot to make a note of the other models. I know there was Rubin but I can't remember the other two.... and I had been doing so well...

In my defence, Reena had been quite nervous beforehand so I wanted to make sure to show as much support for her as possible to help ease her nerves. Quite why someone as stunning and also experienced as Reena would be nervous, I don't know and, for me, she absolutely stole the show.

I mean, all of the designers did such a good job but Harlyn's collection always tend to be my highlight of these shows. The, just think about putting her clothes on the woman who I genuinely believe is the most gorgeous woman in the community, and you know its going to leave an impression. Then, on top of that, Harlyn only went and gave Reena her hottest outfit to wear. Wow! Just wow!

All I'll say is that she did it again and what a perfect way to end the show! Well deserving of the standing ovation that the show closed to.
