Freshpair, an online underwear retailer for both men and women, created National Underwear Day back in 2003 as part of a promotional campaign aimed at encouraging people to bare their skin to celebrate being body positive. In particular, it focused on women and challenging society's expected body image for them, although men included in the campaign as well.
The campaign went viral and National Underwear Day has been celebrated annually on 5th August ever since!
