2nd Annual TWK Easter Egg Hunt

A repeat of last year's Easter egg hunt was never going to be possible while I'm not in residence on my lovely little private island (although hopefully we are moving towards a resolution that will allow me to return to my home).

Fortunately, the hotel that I have been staying in for the last 6 months has a rather nice urban park behind. The sort of park that is the perfect place to hold an egg hunt! I think I did get some rather disapproving looks for running around in my sexy looking bunny outfit.

Not only was the location different this year, but also the rules. I gave Amanda a thorough briefing in my hotel room  before letting her loose on the park.

To summarize, there were just 10 eggs this time. Each egg a different colour. And instead of there being prizes for completing sets of matching colour eggs, each egg would have a point value and Amanda would get to spend all awarded points on various prizes that were on offer.

Actually the points system was rather simple; 10 points for the prestigious golden egg and 1 point for every other egg. Oh, and a bonus 1 point just for taking part to round things up to nice, round 20.

If Amada failed to find the golden egg within the 3 minutes of hunting time (yes, just 3 mins!), she would have the choice to gamble all of her points for an extra 90 seconds to find the golden egg. If she locates it within that time, she would get the 10 points. But fail to find it, and she would leave with nothing.

As it transpired, she had no problem finding the golden egg at all. In fact, it was the very first one she located right in the heart of the park's fountain. I must confess, I admire her commitment to just charge headlong into the fountain as sooner as the timer started. Of course, she was rewarded with a wooping 10 points for her courage (and wetness).

In the remaining time, she managed to find a further 4 eggs; the blue, purple, teal and yellow eggs. Including the point for taking part, that left her with a very respectable 15 points out of a possible 20!

Pretty good going, if you ask me. And a massive improvement on last year's performance.

After giving her time to recover her breath from 3 minutes of charging around like a headless lunatic and a chance to drying off from her dash through the fountain, it was time for her to choose her prizes.

So which eggs remained undiscovered?

That would be the white, grey, green, red and orange eggs. Some placed high and some placed low.

Actually, the white and grey were probably the two easiest ones to find but, when there are only 3 minutes on the clock and time is short, it is easy to run right past them of not even explore the area where they are.

In fact, she was so, so close to the white egg which was right by the purple egg but she just looked the wrong way at just the moment when she ran passed it. So close!

And the grey one was missed because she simply did not go far enough down the road to get to it. If she had, she never would have missed it. It was sitting right in the middle of the road!

On the flip side of things, the red egg was definitely the hardest of the 1 point eggs to find, being sneakily placed up in a tree. If she was going to miss any, I'm not surprised at all that the red egg was one of them.

After giving her time to recover her breath from 3 minutes of charging around like a headless lunatic and a chance to drying off from her dash through the fountain, it was time for her to choose her prizes.

For 2 points, she could take home a crate of her favourite Shushpanzer beer. For 3 points, she could enjoy a complimentary one night stay at my airbnb (when it re-opens). For 5 points, a month of on-demand massages from me. And, finally, for 10 points, she could enjoy a secret but very desirable mega prize.

Having failed to find every egg, she could not take home everything so, after some careful consideration, she spent exactly 15 points on the crate of Shushpanzer, stay at my airbnb and the secret mega prize. Oh, and I through in an official black TWK hoodie just for taking part. Not a bad haul to be going home with!

What an enjoyable day we had running around in the sun. Did you have an equally fun and exciting Easter weekend? I hope so!
