A day In the life of a redheaded kisser

Another January 12th has come and gone, and with it, my annual celebration of Kiss a Ginger Day! This year, I once gain decided to set up my (very professional, I assure you) kissing booth in the heart of Shinku Red light District. The neon-lit backdrop and bustling vibe seemed perfect for a bit of redhead-appreciating fun.

Armed with no small amount of optimism, I settled in for a six-hour shift of spreading cheer, one peck on the cheek at a time. But let’s be honest; this was not a story of relentless, queue-around-the-block demand.

The first hour was… contemplative. I had ample time to admire the architecture. Just as I began questioning all my life choices, Jess appeared like a redheaded angel, breaking the seal with a cheerful, inaugural Kiss #1. Very appropriate that my first kiss of the day should be some redhead on redhead snogging.

Then, the Shinku District resumed its normal flow, and my booth returned to being a curiously still island in the river of people. Until Anthony thankfully swung by, all confident smiles, for Kiss #2. Progress, but the pattern was set: long, patient waits punctuated by lovely, sudden connections.

After another quiet stretch followed before Emmy arrived, bringing a wave of bright energy for Kiss #3. And in a delightful twist of booth etiquette, Amanda appeared right behind her, waiting politely for her turn to step up for Kiss #4. The universe was sending them in pairs, it seemed.

But then came The Great Wait. The neon signs flickered on as night time set in, and foot traffic slowed. I checked my watch, mentally drafting my “well, I tried” recap. And then, just as I announced on social media that I'd be calling it a day shortly and was about to pack up my un-kissed cheeks, Jerome made a last-minute, dash-in rescue for Kiss #5! A true hero of the hour.

He waved goodbye, and I turned to leave my my booth. But the day had one more surprise in store. Emmy reappeared, blocking my exit with a mischievous grin. “Wait!” she ordered. She explained that she had brought me one final kiss who was waiting upstairs. To be honest, I was pretty done and ready to head to bed but who was I to refuse one more kiss from someone who had made the effort to come visit me? She promptly produced Ty, who graciously delivered the grand finale, Kiss #6.

And just like that, my time was up with the final tally of 6 kisses across 6 hours. Mathematically, that’s one kiss per hour, a study in exquisite spacing.

How does it stack up though? It’s down from last year’s record-setting 11 - a tough act to follow for sure but I did get to spend a whole Sunday manning my booth instead of just a Monday evening. It does proudly edge out the 5 kisses of 2024 and 2023 though. So, we’ll call it a solid, mid-table finish with a fantastic narrative arc!

Beyond the numbers, this day reminded me of the wonderful, spontaneous weirdness of putting yourself out there. It’s about the Jessicas who start your day right, the Anthonys and Amandas who choose to participate, the Jeromes who save you from going out with a damp squib, and the Emmys of the world who go out of their way to make sure you finish on a high note.

To everyone in Shinku Red Light District who waved, smiled, or even just glanced curiously at the redhead in the booth - thank you. And to my magnificent six: you’ve given me stories, smiles, and a very happy Kiss a Ginger Day.

Until next January!

Selfie Op Accepted

Another chance to shamelessly plug Shinku Red Light District simply because I think it is a wonderful place to wander around and explore of a weekend evening...

They now have a pair of wonderful mascots - Mocca and Latte - with a standee dedicated to them placed in the middle of the district. The perfect spot for visitors to pose next to for a quick selfie.

That's obviously an opportunity that I'm going going to turn down cos I love getting me a good selfie with anything fun or interesting. And when I say "a good selfie", you know I actually mean about 30 of them, which I then have to painstakingly whittle down to just the one that I decided to share.

I highly recommend that you all stop by during one of it's weekend openings (it opens Saturdays and Sundays only) and get yourself your own seflies with these pair of cuties.

Then, like me, you could also show off your love for them by sharing them on Twitter as part of Ellie's  thread. Go on, show them some love!

Kisses and Showers

A double bill of fun and naughty days to tell you about today; firstly how I participated in Kiss a Ginger Day yesterday and then we'll get onto today's sexy as fuck celebration.

Okies, so Kiss a Ginger Day... Long time readers will no doubt remember me covering this one a bunch of times in past years. Basically, me floating around trying to find willing volunteers who would like to give a cute redhead a quick little smooch.

However, last year, I actually found some success with just picking a spot to loiter and then summon others to me via the medium of social media. I found that that worked reasonably well. Certainly it was better than just roaming around trying to find people.

So this year, I endeavoured to have a properly prepared kiss-a-thon to collect as many snogs as possible. Starting on Friday, I put out a public announcement on social media that I'd be holding my kiss-a-thon on Sunday to celebrate Kiss a Ginger Day. I had an idea for where I could post myself for the actual event but I held off making that announcement until Sunday morning when I could check that it was actually available. Instead, I just made sure that everyone knew that those details would come later and they should pay close attention to my social media for an update.

Then, Saturday happened... I don't want to go into the gory details but it was not a good day for me. The weight of my depression had been building on my shoulders for a little while and I became very overwhelmed by it. As I cried myself to sleep on Saturday night, I faced up to having to do an 180 and cancel the event that I had announced just a couple of days earlier because I just didn't see how I would be able to handle it in the state that I was in.

Come Sunday morning, I wasn't feeling a whole lot better. I desperately wanted to call the whole thing off but, in the end, my pride at not wanting to backtrack won out and I resolved to at least give it a try to see how I got on.

Luckily, the spot that I had bookmarked in my mind was available. I've been looking for an excuse to hang out at Shinku Red Light District for a while. It's such a wonderful place to explore and had the perfect spot for me to set up an impromptu kissing booth. Also, since it is bizarrely not very well visited, I was hoping my little bit of fun could be an added draw to get a few more people to check the place out.

With that, all that was left was to make the social media announcement about where to find me and then just wait for all those kisses to rain down on me!

There was certainly a good deal of waiting during the 12hrs that my booth was open for business. By the end of play, as I closed up, I'd received a grand total of 11 kisses. While it was very pleasing to smash my previous personal best of 5 kisses, which I had managed to achieve in both of the past 2 years, it was a little bit annoying that I couldn't have snuck one more in there to make it 12 kisses in 12 hrs.

I didn't mention this anywhere but I also had a secondary target in mind to go along with the total number of kisses that received. Back in 2023, two of the kisses I received were from fellow redheads but that number dropped to just 1 last year. My hope was that I could at least match my personal best for that one, although, as we'll get into shortly, that wasn't to be.

Now, I don't think I've got the capacity to delve into the details of 11 different kisses with 11 different visitors to my kissing booth so I'll just give a fairly brief recap instead...

Kiss #1 arrived quite swiftly after my announcement courtesy of Mr Eastwood. Probably not a big surprise that my first taker was a returning kisser from last year's kiss-a-thon.

To balance things out, kiss #2 came from a first time participant in my kiss-a-thons. Lalicat patiently waited for me to finish with Mr Eastwood before getting her turn. Seeing the potential of a queue possibly starting to form, really helped lift my spirits. In the end, it was a bit of a false dawn but it still gave me hope that I could have a semi-regular stream of kissers.

It was also nice to attract someone who is a long time follower of me on social media but who I had never met or spoken to before. As an introvert, I do find it hard to meet and talk to new people. That is one of the reasons why I enjoy doing events like this so much because it gives me the opportunity to chat with new people who I wouldn't otherwise say a word to. It makes the whole thing that little bit more rewarding on top of it just being a bit of silly fun.

Anyway, I digress, so back to my recap... Kiss #3 was Smirky Phoenix; another participant from 2024 returning for a repeat of last year. Then, a bit of a wait until Lalicat's twin, Leocat, dropped by for kiss #4. That tied it up at 2 a piece between new and returning participants.

Then a bit of a wait for kiss #5. That eventually came from Dom who, was surprising, was the first of my visitors to enquire whether the kiss actually had to be on my lips or whether it could be placed elsewhere on my body. I knew it would happen sooner or later but it made me chuckle anyway. Of course, I insisted on my lips and that meant that I had now equalled my personal best tally of kisses. Now to go one better and break that record....

Instead, another lengthy wait followed Dom's departure, as I restlessly waited for whoever would be that landmark kiss. Time dragged painful slow until my saviour arrived. And it was very appropriate that the record breaking kiss #6 should go to Jess. Not only because it made her the first 3 time returning veteran of my kiss-a-thons, but because it was a kiss shared between two redheads. I feel like that was very thematically appropriate. Plus, she is one of my dearest friends who I love spending time with so it was nice that I could share this achievement with her.

However, before giving me my record-breaking kiss, Jess was kind enough to give me a loving hug as I unburdened myself of some of the sadness that had been weighing me down recently. The waterworks opened as I cried my eyes out while she held me close. And it did me a lot of good to get it out of my system. I often preach about the need to be open about when you are struggling mentally. I don't always find it easy to follow my own advice though and I still tend to bottle things up. This was a good step in me trying to do better.

Between counselling me and then kissing me, this meant that Jess kept my kissing booth occupied for quite a while. Long enough a queue to threat once again. It didn't quite materialise but there was a quick flurry of visitors coming and going. For kiss #7, I had to reassure Maryxoxo that she wasn't interrupting Jess and I when she dropped by and that she wouldn't need to come back later.

Then, just as I was finishing up with her, I had another visitor arrive ready to be kiss #8. Luckily, I had Jess still loitering around and she was happen to keep Mike Storm occupied for a few minutes before I became available again. From what I hear, she maybe let him have a little bit more than just a kiss. Possibly also a bit of a fondle too. But seriously, who wouldn't want to give Jess' girls a little bit of a fondle.

I'm digressing again...

After Mike Storm provided kiss #8, I had to sit through another barren spell as we moved into the evening. I actually thought this might be when thinking picked up a little as my U.S. followers may become a bit more available to join me. It was quite the opposite though. Until I finally got some company from Naughty Clara for kiss #9.

Then, not too long after she departed, I was joined by her wife, Nitro, who helped me bring up the landmark total of 10 kisses. I was so happy to have been able to reach double figures for the first time with one of my kiss-a-thons and I was still hoping for quite a few more before the days end.

The completionist in me was also thrilled that I was able to tick off both halves of a married couple. It would have left me feeling a little weird to have kissed one of them but not the other. So that was a big relief! For those of you that are keeping count, that's now 1 pair of twins and 1 married couple that I've managed to complete.

And, on the subject of completing sets, there was still one glaring omission from my list of kissers for the day. Along with Jess, there was just one other person that had taken part in both of my previous kiss-a-thons. Someone who I have spent more time kissing then any other person I could name. And someone who, alongside Jess, is the other half of the Titty Twins. Where on Earth was Emmy?!

I'll admit, I got a bit desperate, worrying that she would miss out on my event. So I started pinging her messages in the hope that it would remind her of what she was about to miss out on. And, eventually, she showed up. Her reward was the longest and most passionate kiss of the day as she became my #11.

Sadly for me, she was the last of the day. Happily for her, that meant there was no pressure to move aside for another waiting participant. We kissed and kissed and kissed some more.

And then she really hit the jackpot. You see, I had secretly been reserving a special treat for whoever was my last kiss of the day. With it being apparent that that honour would fall to her, I invited her to join me in the shower to help me get freshened up before calling it a night and heading home.

Of course, this was really just an excuse to take some saucy pics that lead into the second part of the double bill that I wanted to mention to you today; Sex in the Shower Day!

Now, we didn't have sex. That isn't what my kiss-a-thon was about. But there was plenty of kissing as we soaped each other's bodies. And definitely lots of rubbing our bodies against each other to give them a good scrub clean, making sure that no spot was left unwashed.

And, since I wasn't expecting to get any other shower action to tell you about, I still think its a more than satisfactory way to segue from telling you about Kiss a Ginger Day to Sex in the Shower Day. Especially since I fucking love hot, steamy shower sex and there is no way that I'm going to skip an opportunity to highlight that one for you.

Actually, I don't even need to try to justify it like that. I can go one better because, as an alternative to Sex in the Shower Day, some peeps choose to promote today as Shower Together Day instead, which ties in perfectly with what Emmy and I did. So let that be a little preview for you as to how you could also celebrate today.

Oh, and when we were done washing each other's bodies, we took our time taking turns to dry each other off. Hands sometimes lingering a little longer than necessary when patting down wet bums and boobs with our towels.

So there you are; go forth and fuck in the shower as much as you can today! Or just share a shower with someone you care for and give them a loving scrub.

Right, that brings me to the end of what I wanted to tell you all about those two fun and naughty days that I love so much. Somehow, my "recap" ended up being quite lengthy so I don't want to keep you much longer, except to say a big thank you to everyone who took part.

As I mentioned, I wasn't in a good place mentally and I came so close to calling the whole kiss-a-thon off at the last minute. I'm so glad I pushed myself to go through with it though. Everyone was so kind and friendly to me. I got to meet so new people. My heart got warmed by some the extraordinarily nice things people said to me. I smashed my goal for number of kisses.

But, most importantly of all, you all gave me my smile back and, for that, I am so, so grateful. Thank you.
