The Masquerade Ball comes home

For reasons that I don't particularly want to go into right now, I was only add to make a brief appearance at this month's Masquerade Ball and most of that time was spent lurking at the bar. That obviously means that I'll have to keep this keep brief.

Especially since it was hosted in a very familiar location, meaning that I can't pad for time by dwelling on all the particulars of the venue. I'm not actually sure if this was the first time that the ball had been hosted at The Library, but it was certainly my first time attending one hosted there. All of a sudden, the new bar and dinning area that was added a while back makes a lot more sense.... not that it didn't before.

The only other thing I can say is that it was nice that The Library's BDSM roots were embraced by some of the event goers. As cultured and dignified as these events are, the sexy background behind them should never be forgotten, particularly when The Library itself is the venue.

That said, I feel like it was quite fitting that those that wanted to dabbled in a touch a filth were provided with a bit of darkness and shadow to indulge in, nicely reflecting the stark contrast in mood  and tone to the fully lit ballroom floor.

Having a ball

I did it! I managed to spend a decent amount of time at The Library's latest Masquerade Ball which was hosted last night at Glyptotheca Gallaria. And that afforded me plenty of time to make the most of my night out. With my first task of the evening being to have a good explore too see what they had done with the space especially for this event.

The main change would be obvious to anyone who has frequented Glyptotheca Gallaria before. With the ball being primarily hosted in the gallery's Rotunda, that rooms centrepiece, the Foucault Pendulum, obviously had to make way to create space for a dancefloor. In it's place, a thematically appropriate sculpture served as the room's focal point.

After doing a few laps around the Rotunda to exchange pleasantries with a few old faces who I haven't spoken to in quite some time, by which I mean for years, it was time to have a mooch around the rest of the gallery to see if any of the other rooms were being put to use for the ball,

Some suitable mood lighting and some decorations pinned to the wall aside, it was all pretty much as I remember it. Apparently, the main appeal of those rooms was for amorous couples who were looking for somewhere a little quieter to share a little bit of passion.

For me, the appeal was simply to admire some of the lewd paintings while enjoying a glass of wine. Not a bad way to spend a Saturday night at all.

And then, as I perused the Planetarium, the evening's host, Scribs, enquired whether I would share a dance with him. It would be rude for a single lady to turn down a polite request like that from their host, so I was happy to oblige. I mean, how often do you get to literally dance amongst the stars?

Naturally, being the host of such a well attended event, Scribs was a man in demand, which plenty of meeting and greeting required of his time, so it wasn't too long before I was released to resume my roaming. Not before I got a quick selfie with him though. After which, it was back to the Rotunda for me to have a little sit down and give my feet a rest.

And while doing taking a weight off, I was joined by the always gorgeous and stunning Emmy, who was looking particularly radiant in her beautiful white dress. I'll let you in on a little secret that she may kill me for disclosing but that choice of colour was very tactical on her part. You see, she had come directly from a sex party where she had been rallied in the ass, eventually taking a bum full of cum, some of which might still have been trickling down her inner thighs. And cum stains are so obvious on darker colours.

With me feet sufficiently rested, I got my second dance of the night; this time with Emmy. Remarkable considering what she'd been up to just a short time earlier. Despite having her ass stretched and stuffed with cock, she was still able to move with grace and elegance as we shared the dancefloor together.

However, by this point in the evening, it was getting late, so our dance could not go on forever. As the clock ticked past midnight and into the next day, we shared a goodnight kiss and went our separate ways. A lovely end to a lovely night.

Plug time

No, not that sort of plug, you filthy perverts! Get your minds out of the gutter...

What I actually mean is, it's time for an unsolicited advert for a date to go in your diaries, folks.

I only managed to catch the tail end of The Library's first masquerade ball but I thought it was wonderful. Since then, other commitments and various distractions have sadly gotten in the way of me being able to attend again but let's see if that is something that I can put right in a couple of weeks time.

I'm really going to try to make it this time so, hopefully, I will get to see you all there!

And, you know, maybe that other plug idea wasn't a bad one actually... Maybe, if I do make it, I'll be wearing one under my dress. And if you see me there, you won't be able to help but wonder if I've got one in my butt or not. I might even catch you staring at my ass trying to make out if you can see the outline of anything pressing against the soft material of my dress.

If I do, it'll just be my little secret though...

Ballrooms & Black Cats

Another week, another pair of Black Cats to debut!

My intention had been to show these off on Friday night at the Black Rose. And I did manage to do that but debut probably only lasted for all of about 10 minutes before my night out came to a premature end.

In a sense though, that was fortuitous turn of events as it gave me an excuse to wear them again the following next to The Library's Masquerade Ball event. Which may not in and of itself seem fortunate until you remember that The Library's main brand colour is a rather pretty shaded of teal. A shade that is very close indeed to that which appears of the sole of these Black Cats.

That's right, not only did these Black Cats beautifully compliment my ballroom dress, but they also subtly  complimented the venue of this event as well. Couldn't have asked for a better bit of synergy than that, which more than made up for missing out on the previous night's bit of culture.

So that's the first bit of my masquerade outfit already covered. The other key component to decide on was what mask I'd wear. I'm not an extravagant person at all, so something fairly understated was definitely what was called for. Feathers or loud decorations like that were out of the question.

Instead, I wanted to focus on the colour, going for something bold but, again, complimentary to the rest of my outfit. In the end, I settled for a simple green design that would nicely twin with eye colour. With that style choice made, I just needed to complete my look with a suitable colour of lipstick, which, of course, was a striking green that also matched my eyes.

As for the ball, it was wonderful affair, even if I was a little late arriving and I got the sense that things were on the cusp of beginning to wind down.

Funnily enough, I had stated playing a similar sort of ball many years ago, back in the days of Angels of Desire. Unfortunately, the club closed before I got chance to make it happen. It's only taken 8 or so years, nut it was a great pleasure to see that someone else finally managed to pull of something similar.

And it really was super similar to the way I had envisioned it in my mind, although, whether I could have pulled it of to this standard is doubtful. I mean, the ballroom itself was almost exactly what I would have liked to do.

The main real differences being that I would have had all of the dinning tables setup in the half of the room closest to the entrance with the other half of the room set aside for the dance floor. Here, they had the dancefloor running the length of the room with the dinning tables setup down either sound.

Also, they had a bar in the middle of the room, which I wouldn't have had in my plan but I think it worked well as a centrepiece.

They other big difference is that I would have had a fountain in the lobby. I'm pretty sure I've said this a bunch of times in the past but I 'm a big fan of lobbies that have have fountains. I think they perfectly set the tone as you are welcomed to a venue.

That said, there was nothing wrong with this lobby, which was lined with some suitably lewd and kinky sculptures mounted on the walls. I know the event was being hosted by a BDSM club, but I wasn't expecting anything quite as naughty. I'm pleased that they were there though.

Just as they made the event look unmistakably in keeping with The Library. Their signature teal was very prominent, as were the more subtle natural colours that you would expect to see in The Library. It was a classy look for a decidedly classy affair.

That said, I was still pleased to see some kinky sculptures at the top and bottom of the stairs inside the ballroom. Nice to have very visual reminders of the kinky roots to the party which went beyond just the branding.

Of course, all of the decor in the world is no substitute for fabulous event. You can have the most beautiful venue in the world but it will count for nothing if the party is dead.

No fears of that here though. The music was absolutely on point and perfectly set the tone and encouraged party-goers to get on their feet to fill the dancefloor.

And, for those of us like me who were flying solo, the bar was humming with singles waiting to be picked up, or who were just happy to soak in the atmosphere whilst enjoying a rather expensive-tasting drink.

Who knows; maybe they will host more of these events and I can attend one of those with a +1 to experience that side of the party. Actually, I hope there are more of them even if I can't find a partner to attend with. I just like to see events like this in general, especially when they are executed to such a high standard by organisers who are clearly passionate about delivering a memorable night out for their guests.

Sexy Learnings

Smart & Sexy Day emerged as a response to the evolving perceptions of intelligence, beauty, and the breaking down of stereotypes that confined individuals to narrow definitions. The founders of this celebration sought to create a platform that encourages people to embrace their intelligence, while also celebrating their sensuality, recognizing that these aspects are not mutually exclusive.

As such, it aims to dismantle the antiquated notion that intelligence and sensuality are incompatible. Instead, it celebrates the idea that embracing both aspects of oneself can lead to a more fulfilling and authentic life. Intelligence, far from being a hindrance to sensuality, becomes a source of confidence and empowerment.

In a society that often compartmentalizes individuals into rigid categories, Smart & Sexy Day encourages breaking free from these constraints. It prompts a shift in mindset, emphasizing that intelligence is not only attractive but also a vital component of one's overall allure.

Indeed, one of the primary objectives of Smart & Sexy Day is to promote the pursuit of knowledge and personal growth. Intelligence, when coupled with the awareness of one's sensuality, empowers individuals to navigate life with confidence and purpose. This celebration becomes an opportunity for self-reflection and the recognition of the intrinsic value of continuous learning.

OK, OK, OK, I think we've been through all of this before for previous Smart & Sexy Days. So instead of boring you by re-treading old ground that we've already been through, I prefer to get out there and live it this year.

So, in the spirit of knowledge and learning, what better place to spend Smart & Sexy Day than in a library. And what better to wear than one of my favourite skirt suits.

Oh, but this is no ordinary library...

Books and Bondage

The Library is a sex club name that I have seen cropping up a lot recently. I wouldn't say that I've been put off visiting by them, but the adverts that describe it as a BDSM club have meant that I've not been rushing to give it s visit.

However, some photos that I've seen of it on social media in the last few days, namely those posted by the hugely talented Mr Jerome, have forced me to reassess my apparently very inaccurate preconception of what it may be like. First and foremost because those photos portray it as somewhere that you may not even suspect of being a sex club, let alone one dedicated to more niche tastes like BDSM.

So, seeing as today is International Fetish Day, and that I, not really being someone with any strong fetish tendencies that I could explore today, don't have anything else to talk about on the subject, it seems like the stars have aligned nicely to give me the a good reason to give The Library a visit so that I can deliver my own verdict.

I won't keep you waiting until the end for that verdict though. I'm more than happy to come out and say right now that I think it is a wonderful place.

OK, let me quickly qualify that; I don't really know how it rates as a BDSM, or even a sex club. I popped in a few times throughout the day and there there wasn't really much of that going on. Clearly, they are well equipped with the various tools that those with particularly set of proclivities may find useful for exploring those pleasures. I imagine they would actually cater for pretty much everything you could want in that regard. The only question is whether you can find someone to willing to join you for some naughtiness, and, really, that is all down to you.

But, putting aside its function as a sex club, The Library is simply a lovely place to spend some. The decor is absolutely gorgeous. Its abundantly obvious how much love and care has been put into making it an amazing space for people to gather and spend time together.

I mean, it certainly ticks a lot of the boxes for my own tastes in terms of decor. Im a big fan of the combination of exposed brick, mahogany wood and teal highlights. That's a colour that I am very fond of. So perhaps I am a little biased, but I fail to see how anyone wouldn't be similarly impressed.

Now, I should confess that I didn't get to explore the whole place. Most of my time was spent on the entrance floor, with me not even realising at first that there were two more floors down below that are accessible by elevator. I get the impression that the further you ride the elevator down, the filthier and more debauched things become.

Not in terms of the decor though. That remains consistently great through out. But, in terms of the sort of activities that you can expect to find. I mean, on that top floor, a couple of cages and some shackles in the far corner aside, you would have no reason to even suspect what is going on on the lower floors.

Ok, they might seem like pretty obvious things that stick out like a sore thumb but the chilled vibe of the place kind of distracts from them so that they don't really register until you properly look. I think it's fair to say that the roaring fireplace feature in the middle of the room, kind of draws your gaze.

So yeah, on the surface, it just seems like a cool place to hang out. Whether that be chilling on the couches, lounging in the cushion piles or exploring their staggeringly large selection of books that fill shelf after shelf. I feel like some coffee facilities are the only thing lacking.

Take the elevator down one floor and things start getting a little naughtier. For starters, there are lots more cages. So many cages, and cells, and even dog kennels. I don't think those are actual dogs though.

There also a nice little cushioned sex pit, at least that's what I'm assuming its for. As well as a rather regal looking indoor pool. Oh, and 3 full kitted out sex rooms.

We're talking various sorts of restraints and shackles, plus display cases full of assorted sex toys and implements. There's the more vanilla stuff like vibrators, dildos and butt plugs, and the more themed stuff like crops, whips and paddles, masks, ball gags, handcuffs and ropes. So plenty of stuff to get nice and creative with.

And for when you are done being filthy, you can, of course, go clean up in the shower room. Or maybe you might just want to head straight there for some hot and steamy shower sex. I've said it before, I'll say it again, I love me some hot as fuck shower sex.

Then, on to the lowest floor, there appears to be what I can only really describe as a gentlmen's club type vibe. There's a main room with a stage and poles for strippers. Also, some cages for strippers because... well, apart from the decor scheme, they seem to be the one common item throughout the club. You'll also finally find a bar in there, although still not sure there are any coffee facilities.

That's the main room down there, or The Archives, as it seems to be named. You can also find a billiard room with another small bar and rather fancy looking grand piano, as well as a couple more more generic bedrooms that don't have the same BDSM vibe as the ones directly above. More of a strip club private room type vibe instead.

Oh, and I cannot finish without mentioning that they have the most adorable plushie mascots ever. Aren't they just the cutest?

I'm not exaggerating when I say that I was legitimately tempted to try to smuggle one out under my jacket. I want them so bad! And I'm sure I'm not the only guest who would be willing to exchange so of my hard earned money for them if they had a merch stand where they could be purchased. Yup, they could earn a pretty penny if they expanded into merchandising!
