Last Minute Lingerie

Normally this is the part where I’ve already rallied half the community; DMs flying, invites sent, a whole line-up of stunning creators joining in for a proper celebration by posting their own contributions for National Lingerie Day. 

But this week had other ideas… distractions everywhere, time slipping through my fingers, and somehow the date snuck past me.

Only clocking the date late last night, this is a slightly chaotic, last-minute dash to at least show up and honour the occasion in my own way.

Still... Snapped a few shots to capture the mood. There’s something about sheer lace and clean lines that feels like a quiet kind of power… not loud, not trying too hard, just there. A reminder that sometimes the best look is the one you wear for yourself first.

Lingerie can be for everyone!

Last year, I had a very last minute idea to invite a dozen or so creators to join me in celebrating National Lingerie Day. My reason for choosing this day above all others to test how possible it would be to get a bunch of varied creators all working towards a single goal. 

Now, I appreciate that a lot of the sexy days I promote, are perhaps a little lewder than some creators are comfortable posting for. I mean, not everyone is going to be willing to share some intimate pics of themselves enjoying Anal Sex Day, for example. Which is why, a lingerie themed day seemed like the perfect choice. To me at, least, it feels like it is just a lot more inclusive across a much broader spectrum of content. Whether a creator likes to post filthy fuck pics, cute selfies or classy fashion shots, they can each contribute in their own way without having to step to far out of their normal comfort zone.

And the response last year was pretty overwhelming. All but one of those ladies that I contacted, plus a very extra ladies who spontaneously hopped onboard during the day, chose to take part by sharing some super sexy and saucy lingerie pics.

So, moving to to this year, I wanted to see if we could make even more off a splash by going bigger and better! Critically, I figured it would be beneficial to give everyone more than the 24hrs notice they got last year to prepare something. That meant spamming creators a week ahead of time to let them know what was on the horizon. 

Further more, instead of inviting around a dozen peeps to contribute, I wanted to go big. Buoyed by the enthusiastic response last year, which gave me the braver to spread my net far wider, I messaged probably around 4 times that number this time round.

Finally, in addition to contacting more creators about getting involved, I also suggested that anyone wanting to take part should tag their posts with #3DXLingerie so that all of the amazing posts can all get collected together in one place to show how much of a team effort it has been.

Now, as of the time that I am writing this, I would say we have just about surpassed last year's number of posts and there are still plenty of hours left in the day for more to come in. Unfortunately, not everyone who has posted chose to do so with the #3DXLingerie hashtag, making it a little tricker to keep track of what has been posted. But I would urge you to click that link and go check out those that can be found there.

Of course, I would never ask other to do anything that I'm not prepared to do myself, so got the ball rolling with some hot snaps of me in a matching set of black lace bra and panties with some pretty red trim on. And, as a thank you for being a loyal follower of mine, you get to be treated to a few extra pics of me modelling my chosen lingerie compared to what I've managed to post over on Twitter.

Can lingerie spice up a marriage?

Day 10 of my accidental marriage to Ace. Whilst it continues, I'll do my upmost to take advantage of this unplanned situation as best I can. My latest demand... I mean, suggestion... of my hubby was that he should buy me some nice lingerie for National Lingerie Day.

My hope was that he'd pick something that he'd like to see me wearing and, if he's lucky, then get to take off of me. I'm actually not sure if that was the mindset he had though, as his selection, although very sexy, was very similar to some that I already have. Perhaps he was being very thoughtful and chose to buy something that he knew was to my tastes rather than his. Or perhaps we just like similar things,

Regardless, I'm sure you'll agree that what he got me does look rather tasty on me. I will have to chalk it up as a slight opportunity missed to wear something a little out of my normal style. As much as I love having my own signature look, sometimes it is fun to find any old excuse to branch out and try something different.

All of this got me thinking about the role that lingerie can play in any marriage (or relationship, for that matter). In my mind, even beyond its aesthetic appeal, lingerie holds the power to transform intimate moments, infusing them with excitement, anticipation and renewed intimacy.

Other stockings need a suspender belt or straps on your lingerie to stay up, otherwise they will end up around your ankles. Matching your suspender stockings to your lingerie is an art form, but when it's pulled off the effects are eye-popping.

Alternatively, bodystockings are stretchy head-to-toe garments which are a fantastic base for outfits as well as a sexy all-in-one lingerie solution. Although they cover large areas of the body, the fabrics make them sexy and crotchless varieties don't stop play.

But perhaps it is a worthwhile trade-off? Maybe it is not something to be done all the time, but possibly some of time? Indeed, anecdotally at least, for some women the benefit in lingerie is not even the wearing of it at all. It is the time spent browsing and buying lingerie during a shopping trip that offers the positive experience and triggers our reward centres. It is investment in doing something just for yourself that offers the pleasurable experience.

Try this on a night out; Pair a dress with your tiniest, sexiest thong. During the evening, slip your hand into your partner's pocket and whisper in their ear as you leave your thong there for them to look after. You can thank me later!"

Particularly in a post-covid world, the idea of putting something nice on after some many have spent the last 2 years dressing down whilst stuck at home can also have a benefit to how we outwardly dress and project ourselves to the world. Putting on some nice lingerie can then encourage us to put more effort into our visible clothing and improve the way that others perceive us.

With all this being said, the benefits of lingerie do not need to be limited to the psychological side of things. Wearing the right underwear can help give you the appearance that you want. A good choice of bra and panties can accentuate your womanly curves in just the right way. Similarly, corsets and garter belts can help keep everything in the right place. It is not only emotional support that these things offer!

This, of course, is where lingerie can really spice things up, particularly if you are looking to keep things fresh and interesting.

It is all too easy to get stuck in a rut or for things to become routine. Surprising a partner with some naughty or kinky underwear can help to reignite fading passion or help you project your sexuality to your partner. It is the perfect way to tease or build the anticipation of what is to come.

And, if you are thinking about your partner as well, consider the feeling of gratification they can experience when they see the effort that you have gone to in order to appear pleasing to their eyes.
